Abstract Objective The purpose of this study was to explore anxiety, worry, and posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) in parents children with food allergies, evaluate whether these three psychological outcomes could be predicted by allergy severity, intolerance uncertainty, self-efficacy. Methods Participants were 105 who reported their have medically diagnosed allergies. recruited a on parent wellbeing through an clinic social media advertisements. completed online questionnaires assessing PTSS, self-efficacy, demographic information. Results In sample, 81.0% clinically significant 42.3% met the clinical cut-off for 39.1% moderate-extremely severe anxiety. Greater uncertainty lower self-efficacy associated poorer outcomes, mixed results severity. However, only variable consistently account unique variance within regression models. Conclusions This highlights need greater awareness mental health allergy. also indicates that factors impacting parents’ perception threat may most strongly predictive warranting further research. Finally, promising target interventions population.
